What is a payment account with basic services?

A payment account with basic services is a bank account for personal use that gives you access to a number of services, considered basic, free of charge.

Features of a payment account with basic services:

• Account in lek;
• Management and execution of payment transactions, both on online platforms and in bank branches;
• Carry out transactions such as withdrawals and deposits at Credins branches. Physical and virtual transactions at ATMs and POS (points of sale), (utility payments, direct debits, periodic withdrawals, transfers within Credins accounts or other banks within the country, etc.);
• The basic account can be linked to a free debit card;
• This account cannot be linked to a credit or overdraft product;

How do I open a payment account with basic services?

You can go to any Credins bank branch with a valid identity document, fill in the appropriate application form and the documents needed to open the account. You must present the bank with a document issued by the institution certifying your status as a pensioner, recipient of unemployment benefit, student grant, etc. (These categories are defined in detail in Law no. 100/2023 on the payment account with basic services” and you can find a list of them in the following documents: The basic account with reasonable charges may be opened by any consumer who does not have the same account with other banks in the country).

Fees applicable to the payment account with basic services.

The following conditions apply to consumers who benefit from the basic account with 0 Lek fees:

• Minimum balance to open the account
• Monthly maintenance;
• Deposit of funds;
• Cash and ATM withdrawals;
• Direct debit;
• Debit card issuing;
• Card payments within the country;
• Periodic and interbank withdrawals;
• Domestic transfers;
