Credins Bank is hereby presenting the activities undertaken in the framework of social responsibility. This report is carried out in conformity with the form defined by the United Nations Development Programme concerning the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
GOAL #1:
No poverty – End poverty in all its forms everywhere, promotion of agriculture and support to small farmers. Eliminating hunger in every form everywhere!
During 2015, Credins Bank launched microcredit and microbusiness development products in support of sustainable development policies in the context of business development, enabling the financing of small enterprises and farmers.
GOAL #2:
End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture!
The Bank has cooperated with organizations such as SOS Village, Albanian Red Cross, Don Bosco Social Center and Berat Penitentiary Institution and has supported various projects that help eliminate poverty for families in need and children without parental care with ALL 1,572,100.
GOAL #3:
Good health and well being – Ensure healthy lives and well-being for all at all ages! Credins Bank dedicates special attention to contribution in the field of health and is an active supporter of initiatives that contribute to improving health infrastructure, promoting health and raising awareness of the population for good health and well being. During 2015 13 hospitals and health centers throughout the country were supported with a total of ALL 16,762,909. The bank has cooperated to organize awareness raising campaigns such as the Life Marathon and awareness raising campaigns to support people with Down Syndrome.
GOAL #4:
Quality Education – Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all!
Credins Bank believes that education literacy assistance is one of the most valuable contributions to the community. For this reason, during 2015 Credins Bank has provided a contribution of ALL 1,852,770 for the benefit of 6 education projects covering cooperation with elementary schools, universities and civil society organizations.
GOAL #5:
Ensure gender equality and empower all women and girls! Credins Bank believes in enhancing and empowering the women’s role. This principle is included in its human resources policies, employment opportunities and the promotion of women and girls. Women have been promoted to the highest executive levels of leadership. Many of the key positions in running a business have been entrusted to female executives. Credins Bank also promotes business principles that enable women’s involvement in business. In addition to its sponsorship policies, during the past year the bank has contributed of ALL 905,400 for social and cultural activities promoting the role of women.
GOAL #7:
Affordable and clean energy – Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all!
Credins Bank in its business policies supports projects aimed at energy efficiency. It further encourages ideas and projects that include environmental protection concepts through social responsibility policies. In 2015, Credins Bank was a supporter of the National Competition for Green Ideas organized by civil society.
GOAL #8:
Decent work and economic growth: – Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all!
Credins Bank has cooperated during 2015 with various central and local institutions in Tirana, Durrës, Kavaja, Vlora, on various projects to improve working conditions that enable economic growth. This contribution in total was ALL 885,688.
GOAL #9:
Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure – investments in infrastructure and scientific research – Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and foster innovation! In accordance with this objective, during 2015 Credins Bank has invested and developed policies for supporting financially sustainable projects in the field of industry and innovation.
In addition, in the framework of social responsibility, Credins Bank has contributed with financing 6 institutions in the field of education, defence, health, food etc, with a total of ALL 3,456,000 providing equipment, systems and software.
GOAL #11:
Sustainable cities and communities – Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable!
Credins Bank is an important actor contributing with the focus of having an active community and sustainable developed cities that provide inclusive spaces for citizens’ lives. For this reason, during 2015, 21 institutions and organizations were supported; including 6 municipalities, two universities, central arts and culture institutions such as the Theater and Children’s Cultural Center as well as civil society organizations. We believe that investing in cultural activities for adults and children, organizing open debates, conferences, international cultural activities, help to consolidate a sustainable society. The total of this financial support for all projects together is ALL 36,575,596.
GOAL #16:
Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels. The Bank has collaborated and supported financially two projects to improve the computer infrastructure for justice institutions, a necessary part of having effective institutions.
